I’m a bit slow on the uptake, I usually spot the threads about new TV programmes but missed this one .
It’s got good potential but considering it’s only five years on from present day that “ filter “ creeps me out , I wondered where she was going with the “ Trans “ thing , quite funny how the parents were so ok with it all till they realised what she meant by “ Trans “ 😂

You should watch the new movie Long Shot , maybe not though if Emma Thompson’s portrayal of a politician offends you , bit of a moot comment from me unless you have seen the movie 😂

I agree with not sugar-coating things with lies. Also, some politicians have an annoying knack of avoiding the question. So, in that respect, at least she speaks her mind.

However, I wouldn't want a politician who couldn't give a f... monkeys about foreign affairs and whose policies lean towards the far-right. And I wouldn't want a politician who swears in public in order to gain people's attention and be "trending on Twitter". Swearing is not big and it's not clever.

If someone actually managed to invent something like that, then I can see it catching on with some kids. It might just be a passing fad - like deeley boppers - but I wouldn't be surprised if it became a thing. And, yeah, it was strangely creepy.

What I didn't realise until after the show was that "transhumanism" already exists as an idea and philosophy. It's not just something made up by RTD for this programme.

Yeah, I know it's not reality. And I'm not "telling you off" or anything. Just saying why I wouldn't want someone like Emma Thompson's character as a politician, that's all (unfortunately they already exist in real life, but there we go).
