How to Waive BA £25 Admin Fee

This is a question aimed at the ones who managed to get the £25 admin fee from BA removed / Waived when upgrading car hire... HOW?

I asked when I rung up last week and she said it's not possible as it's "built in" and they don't have the ability to remove it?

If AVIS have a sale and you call to upgrade and the class of car you want to upgrade to is less than the price you have paid, the £25 admin fee will first be offset against the reduction and then any further savings removed from your total cost.

If you are upgrading and the price is an increase, 99% of the time its not possible to get the £25 admin fee removed.

BA seem to have a tendancy to waive the charge if it cannot be done online and you have to use their call-centre. I'd start with saying you can't do it online and need to call them ... when negotiating the removal of the charge.

ahh ok thanks - so most likely this is why - because my prices are always more!

I shall try mentioning this and see if they will do anything! Thanks for the heads up

I once had to call them as the web site was not working correct, I started my conversation with the site is not working and asked can they they help.
They did help and then I noticed the £25 admin charge had been added to my costs, I had to argue with them that I would not have called if there site would allow me to do what I wanted.
Eventually they removed the £25 admin charge, think it was a bit cheeky of them.
