Tom what age did you actually stop attending school as the official leaving age was 15 back then.
I'd like to point out to our younger readers it was completely normal to be able to read, write and reckon long before secondary school, as Tom proves daily.
My mum and dad left school at 15 and they told me it was normal! I wasn’t sure if that true but it seems it was

My mam was gutted because as she turned 15 and was looking forward to leaving school they raised the leaving age to 16 😄 she still bitter about it now.

I daren't post any photos of me as a teen as I will cry thinking how I used to look haha

Awesome apprenticeship scheme lasting 4 years.
I am extremely pleased apprenticeships are back again. My eldest grandson is training to be an accountant on one, learning on the job and being paid. He did uni for a year and hated it. Horses for courses.

I left at 14, was allowed because I turned 15 before the term started, it never did me any harm either as back then I worked till I got married and then became a "traditional housewife" then when the kids were older I started work in a supermarket and ended up running it, looking after the cashiers and doing the end of week bookkeeping/accounts, I didn't have a GCSE to my name, I just got lucky 😂 I swear that common sense is sometimes as good an asset as exam results, although my common sense often goes out of the window these days 😂

I'm exactly the same. There is a lovely picture of me somewhere with an 80s shaggy perm, boob tube and a 22 inch waist. Those days are long gone😩😂.

Tut tut tut. All you Ladies on about your weight and size.

I am the same as I was at 17 namely 6ft 2" and 17 stone

But for some weird reason the weight seems to have headed south! God knows how that happened.

I need to try find my teen ones, age 14 school photo 😳 Pouting before pouting was even a thing! And honeymoon on my 19th birthday, back in the day when photographers met you off the plane!
I wish I was as fat now as I thought I was then!
