Not going to Florida - so where are you off to instead

Next year was going to be the year we went back to Florida and disney after our last trip in 2016. A four year gap would have been nice.

However having seen the prices for next year we've decided that we just can't justify the cost. We were going to forgo a holiday abroad this year to make sure we'd got enough saved, but even if we did that we'd still be short, and at nearly £9k for the holiday we would want in florida we've decided to leave it.

So instead, we've booked 11 nights in crete for this summer. We went in 2017 and loved it, so really looking forward to going back, and next year we're hoping to do Lanzarote.

The £9k we would have spent doing to florida will guarantee us an abroad holiday for the next 3 years, where as we'd have had to miss years due to saving.

I'm also thinking we might fit in a cheapy DLP break, just to give us a little disney fix to keep us going.

Hopefully (health dependant) we are going to do a massachusetts and New York road trip in October. I love Boston and know my husband would find the history of much interest. I have always loved the book/Disney film of sleepy hollow and have been determined to actually visit, it’s just outside New York and a few hours from Boston. They have a huge pumpkin blaze on during the autumn which is a bucket list item for me. I have no idea how we will cope with a holiday that doesn’t involve a theme park, but I guess we’ll see! I’m sure there’s a six flags there abouts.

Three days in Bournemouth in August. I booked the hotel this morning and I’ve booked seafront hotel with a room of the sea view. The hotel also has an indoor pool should the weather be terrible. The kids will be so happy! Just hoping for good weather now.

We are going to Cyprus in August with our daughter, son in law and two granddaughters. I can't wait for a fly and flop holiday.
