Festival tips?

I’ve only ever done one festival myself, so just a couple of tips:

WATER! There are usually taps at the campsites but these can often have very long queues. Also when at the stages, it’s often difficult to leave to go get a drink and come back depending on how close to the front you are. We were very close to the front with no shade, blazing hot sun. Security ended up passing out water to people it was so hot.

We kept all our cash in our bras, so might be a bit difficult for your son! You can get “hidden” money belts which aren’t very cool but will keep his money safe. Festivals usually have ATMs but very long queues and often run out of cash half way through the day.

Camping chairs! This will save a soggy bum if the weather turns

Money belt for cash to go under clothing. Bum bag for everything else to be carried. Water. Ibuprofen. Baby wipes. Toothbrush and mini toothpaste. Wet loo paper wipes. Snacks. Hand sanitiser. Large plastic sheet to sit on. As many cheap phone power banks as they can carry. A torch. I always sent mine with a huge stack of rolls/apples/ crisps/sausage rolls/cereal bars in a cheap cool bag.

My daughter’s off to Sundown, her first festival too. I’m a nervous wreck, she can’t wait! Some great tips here I can show her, especially the money in her bra. Can’t believe the post about the bum bag being cut off, awful

My daughter has been to her first festival today at Leeds Fest. Just for the day but that was enough for me, especially when I read the earlier post about the bumbag being stolen. I never thought about that happening. She’s just texted to say she has been picked up so I can relax and go to bed now. She’s sleeping at a friends relative near the site so I wont hear how she got on until tomorrow. At least she won’t have any muddy clothes as I’d expected as it’s been boiling today.

They have a club class option for £35 with flushing toilets, hot showers and a glam room with GHD and hairdryers etc, I know I would be having this if I was going but he didnt seem so keen!

So sad that these things happen, my dad always told me to keep a few notes in your trainers at things like this!
