Early arrival?
G'day to ya'll PS great site - do a lot on intel here - THANK YOU
We've had a few storms in the UK/East & now I've just had a call from Virgin to say my VS15 (Sat 15th)13:00ish is now been brought forward 10:00am - I appreciate the extra time on holiday - however having to book 2 rooms at Prem Inn for the night before departure & changing Taxis I now find my self in a quandary with Alamo...spoke to what can only be described as a robot talking human being... whom did not know what I can do...even after speaking to a manager! - now I've already 'skip the counter' - all is in order - however this was PRIOR to time change...taking rental at 18:30 - return 15:30..now its more likely to be 16:15 at Rental - does anyone think the gate will pull me up on this? if it makes a diff I'm Full size SUV? any advise greatly appreciated |

I don't think it will make a difference to Alamo regarding pick up time. It will effect the time you need to return the car though as works in 24hrs hire I believe.
Oh and welcome to the Dibb

As Ellenut says the only thing that matters is what time you take the car out through the barrier and the time you return it. If you take it out at 16.15 and return at 15.30 then absolutely no issues. Alamo give you 29 minutes grace anyway and with Virgin I believe you get 2 hours.
Considering it can take anything between 15 minutes and 2 hours to get through immigration and planes can regularly be late the collection time on your booking doesn't really matter Mick

Yes, I had two hours grace with Virgin, which we heading back in a monsoon type storm was really needed

Thanks for replies - I had NO issues - FYI I got the Ford Expedition Limited & the Chevy Tahoe & The Ford wins hands down! - only issue was gear change every now & then!

So long as you pick up on the day you booked you’ll never have any issues. The pickup time on your reservation really doesn’t matter. It’s all about getting it back at the same time as when you actually go through the barriers.
