Mobile Alamo toll charges

I might be misunderstanding so can I just check I’m right? We hired a car through Alamo and just received toll bill and we have been charged full alamo $19.75 service charge, however we only used the toll for 2 days. From the alamo website alamo/en_US/car-rent...l-options.html it says that you are only billed on use per day therefore shouldn't our service charge be $3.95 x 2 days ? Ive emailed tollpasscustomercare@htallc.com but they just said to phone which is not worth doing. It would be handy to know for next time so we look at the alternatives (which we couldn’t use this time) . Thanks

Yes that's exactly correct about the Alamo admin fee but you do pay the actual toll charges on top.

Is it possible that on those two days you went through around $12 in total of tolls.

Mick

OP. As per Mick.

I’m on the iPad now but if you haven’t resolved this by the morning I will post the link that you can use to see the tolls and cost you incurred by entering your Alamo reservation number.
It’s bookmarked on my PC.

Thanks Tom. I knew there was a web site where you can check transactions but didn't know the address.

Thanks Mick. I have got a statement and it shows service charge was $19.75, the total bill was $44 for 2 trips to ksc on 2 days. It’s a shame the visitor toll wasn’t an option for us this time.

This is the link

htallc/en/tollpass/i...h?agency=alamo

However it sounds like they have caught you. I would E Mail again asking for a refund and explaining why you wont ring due to cost.
Mind you they are as much use as a chocolate teapot!

thanks Tom, sorry I missed your first messages as was on my mobile and didn't refresh the screen for a while. That's the link I checked, it's actually very useful and was pretty impressed. I had a lovely exceptional polite email from htallc, but like you say useless as a chocolate teapot! I'll email them again though, you never know.

Game on! I am like a dog with a bone and would E Mail them for a year if I had to. But I'm retired and have the time.
Best of luck.

I would also try emailing Alamo direct. I had an issue with them charging too much for fuel last year and got a refund quite quickly.
