Ambassador. Excellent.

Just waiting to disembark now. We have loved our first ambassador cruise and it won’t be our last. It has far exceeded our expectations. Can’t fault a thing. The food, service and entertainment were fantastic and far better than our recent P & O cruises. We’ve loved it, thanks to the OP for the recommendation.

We sailed on Ambition. It is an older ship but you wouldn’t think so. We thought it had been refit very well and didn’t feel old at all. It certainly didn’t feel tired and dated like Azura had in January. We booked a 3 nighter to see how we liked it and I’m sure we will book again. We booked for £149 in the end and afterwards we actually saw it with Iglu for £99 ! Not sure how they can do it for the price. I wish I had taken food photographs because it was just so much better than P & O.
We will look for Liverpool and Newcastle sailings because both are better than Southampton for us.

I've just looked at Ambassador and I just cannot find any 3 night cruises? I'm looking at Liverpool though?

I can’t see anything that cheap from Newcastle. Which is typical to be honest.

I booked about 6/7 weeks before. Prices did seem to come down last minute. There is a 5 night cruise from Newcastle in November.

There doesn’t seem to be any more short cruises from Liverpool now. Hopefully as the port expands there will be more.

Most Ambassador sruises go from Tilbury, they don’t go from Southampton, we go there when we are on P & O.

We do enjoy the formal nights. I didn’t take much notice of what people were wearing but I think it was quite mixed, as long as you are not wearing shorts it seemed to be fairly easy going to me.
