Wow, just called to enquire the cost and for the dates we are looking at ( end Aug) they wanted $534 dollars for a 6 person cabana.

Thanks but no thanks !

I wouldn't pay for a cabana , you are in the water most of the time so can't see the point myself

If it had been much cheaper would've been tempted but actually for me won't be in the water much not huge on water parks etc so happily sit there and read instead.

Depending on the season will depend on the cost. You can get them cheaper, prices go up as peak times. Have you thought about premium seating ? We paid $89 plus tax for each set( one retractable canopy, two loungers a locking cupboard and they bring food and drink to you) again u can get them cheaper than $89 depending on time of year. They do book up fast however so sooner booked the better if that’s what u decide

There is so much seating at VB, even quiet areas at the back of the park, I’m sure you’ll find a nice place to sit

I considered a Cabana last August until I found out the price...total extortion! I just got there for rope drop and got good seating.

If you're going on a weekday in low season try phoning up the day before and ask for a price.

We had one in October last year, I'd phoned a few weeks beforehand to get a price, being October we wanted to wait and see what the weather was doing nearer the time, when I phoned the day before to book it, the price was $100 less than originally quoted.

Please note that this was for a Monday in October and there were plenty free that day, I'm not saying this is a strategy that will work every time, but possibly worth a gamble if you know it's a quiet time.

Totally worth every cent btw, we loved the lockers, the food coming to us & having the Tapu Tapu computer in the cabana was amazing.

They are pricey. But like it has been said, it does depend on when you are planning to go.
We had one last year and it was BEAUTIFUL. Had a gorgeous view of the volcano and pool. We were in their all day due to taking turns with my niece.
