Proud Grandma warning

This morning it was the nursery singalong
Our 4 year old granddaughter was chosen to sign along to 4 songs she did not make one mistake we have been practicing for weeks and i honestly think we were more nervous than her
Can’t post the video as there are a couple of kids who can’t be shown on socially media
Even Grampa eyes were leaking

I remember my granddaughters class all signing to Away in a Manger when she was about that age, not a dry eye in the house. I do miss those days. Bet you're glad you got back from Florida in time to see it.

Those moments are priceless! With our DD it wa always emotional when we went to the donkey sanctuary service, and the kids all sang and signed with Makaton (all SEND) to ‘Little Donkey’ and bought a donkey in!

How lovley. I love this time of year and the Christmas shows and pantomimes etc ,

Our grandaughter had her dance show two weeks ago, they had to wear full make for the show and she loved it!

Not a dry eye in that house either!

She’s struggling a bit with the names of some of her class mates
Ukraine names she’s fine with as her and her brother and cousin best friends sane Family she knows
As she does our oldest granddaughter name Natashia which everyone says she signs wrong she does not nor does she sign Ayshea her aunts wrong or her uncle Alain
It’s how we spell it
She’s got welcome to our assembly nailed signing and talking at the same time and I am Quinn

Well done to her, DD uses Makaton a lot, although she doesn’t actually need it (she can yap for England!) a lot of her classmates still use it so it’s second nature to her! Mostly for names, they just use the initial of first name, so think that’s acceptable in most situations!
Strangely the first sign she learned was ‘biscuit’!

Again well done for her, perhaps a part time career in interpreting while she trains to be a pilot may be calling!
