Another recommendation for Rustique. We always go therefore pre-theatre dinner. The food quality & service are terrific for the price point. You can book online.

If you need a quiet/quick sit down/cupof tea break, 2 very interesting places i’d recommend are:
1) the Spurriergate Centre
2) the Merchants adventurers Hall

Another vote for pairings. Lovely cheeseboards and wine of course. You need to book as it does get busy.

Ooh this thread is really useful as we are spending a couple of nights in York next month & we have just started thinking about where to eat.
We are also staying in a PI but my boyfriend booked it so I have no idea which one 😂

We ate at Rustique following recommendations on here. It’s one of the best meals we’ve eaten and we still talk about it .

Food is a holiday highlight for us 🐷

We enjoyed Partisan, it’s not far from the hotel. We have tried a lot of the places mentioned but still have a long list and some new ones to add from this thread!
Not food or drink related but we did the Ghost Bus Tour from the station when we last visited and all enjoyed it.
