We would always pre-order rather than leave it to the morning. Reason being it’s far faster to check into the pre order queue and amend your order than it is to queue up to place your order on arrival. I’ve changed my pre order several times this way without a problem.

We also liked the food at breakfast BTW.

Do you need a reservation for lunch? At one point you could pick as a fast pass!
I’ve been to Disney 7 years & still never had a proper restaurant meal!

Yes, BOG is the only QS that accepts (and requires) ADRs for both breakfast and lunch.

We've only had breakfast at BoG once, I really liked it for a QS meal, I tried the GF waffles, which were served with GF slices of cake & fruit, we pre-ordered too.
😊
