Are Lingus sales?
Hi,
Does anyone know if Are Lingus typically have any sales during March or April? I was hoping they might have a St Patrick's or Easter sale. Looking at direct flights from Dublin. Had hoped to get them a bit cheaper than they are at the moment. I'm getting nervous and might just buy! Thanks! |

There prices rarely go down. Rule of thumb is buy early. They once fly 4/5 times a week depending on time of yr. I booked our Aug flights in Oct paid €700 pp. Currently €1029pp.

Keep an eye on BA flights with Car.
I booked Aer Lingus Business with BA Club Europe between LHR and DUB, with Chevy Taho for just over £5,500 for two adults and one child. You have to change flight options when fly drive prices appear, as it defaults to LgW-MCO Aer Lingus di give sales, but the seats go very quickly as they only have one flight

Hello,
Thanks for the replies. I think I should book then as the price isn't terrible, just not quite what I had hoped to pay. We go mid September so had hoped we'd get a good deal on flights as out of session. I've looked at BA and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but the website just keeps saying there are no direct flights for my dates, yet I know there are. |

Aer Lingus do flash sales every now and then, the problem is it's hard to know when as they seem to have changed their pattern since 2015 buyout by IAG. They had a sale recently for flights between March-June. As far as I remember last year the sale for period up to end Oct was in late April/early May. Most sales are for 40 or 50 euro off each way.
Their prices do sometimes go down though, not just in sales, but only for off-peak times. I know last year when I was pricing for early Dec the flights were almost €600 each in January, they went down to €538 around Easter, and I eventually bought them in June when they went to €498 each. None of these reductions were in sales. There was a flash sale in August and they went to €458 each ... hence me not having yet bought my flights for this coming November Edited to add these were direct Aer Lingus flights DUB to MCO and included suitcase each (smart fare).

Hey,
I just cracked and maybe the price isn't too bad after all as paid £470 (smart fare). I guess flights are more expensive than when I last went. Fares definitely go up and down though. They were about the same price in January sale as what I paid now, then jumped massively. I thought I was going to have to go indirect! Kept checking and the fares came back down about a week ago. Hopefully have 1.5% cashback too. Not much but it's something. |

At least you have secured them now! Always think getting flights is the hard bit, everything else then is a pleasure! £470 sounds good! Enjoy the countdown now!

Hi Ciano,
Yes glad to have them sorted. Thanks also for the reasurance that £470 is good. I had thought it was a bit high given what I'd paid previously but then that was quite a while back now. Countdown to ADR day now! Thanks! Edited at 11:12 PM. Reason: Spelling |
