November with Virgin - what's a good price?
Hi, we are going in November, and currently looking at flying Man - MCO with Virgin (our friends who we stay with have already booked their flights with miles). We are going Nov 22nd to Dec 3rd.
At the moment classic is around £480, but I know Virgin usually do a sale in September, so is it worth the wait? Thanks |

I don’t know Man mco but I was looking at GAT - MCO and they were £305 with VA about 2 weeks ago. Haven’t looked since as friends have decided they aren’t coming.

We booked a flydrive with Virgin Holidays for a family of 5 and paid £1670 direct from LGW-MCO.
Price up a flydrive and see if it comes in cheaper (if you dont need the car just tell you only need it for 1 day and they will deduct the price off the package)

Unfortunately historically the Manchester route can be a lot more expensive (there’s less competition on the MCO route so they can, and do, charge more).
For us anything under £500 is ok. Cheapest we had was £330 but that was 10 years ago. In 2016 we paid £404. Personally £480 is decent in my view. Some people get some great deals but as we are tied to dates once holidays are agreed with work and wife can only have a maximum of 10 days off at once our hands are tied. That’s why I am happy for anything less than £500. Edit to say the £404 was November and the £330 was September. Edited at 01:06 PM. |

Last year DS paid around £350. That included bags but they have since introduced the new pricing structure and it presumably will be more now.
