Annual Pass Price Rises?

We're visiting in August and will be looking at Annual Passes for Disney and Universal.
We're not sure whether to buy before we go, or when we are there.

Does anyone have an idea of when prices might go up?

For Disney Califonia went up last week, WDW did not, however they have in the past increased prices in either October or Feb... or Both. You can probably Guarantee they will go up a bit (a lot) before SW opens in late Fall.

If you buy now the pass does not get activated until first use so you can lock in at todays price

I think Uni price went up late last year as well

Could have kicked myself for not buying our annual passes before the last price rise, as they can be activated anytime between now and 2030 we've jumped in now.

That's what we were thinking. If they only go up by £25, for for of us that's an extra £100 - or three nights of Golden Corral!

Just done a bit of research and prices usually increase in February and sometime also in October. Last October Platinum Plus went up by around 5% - £40.
