Help - it's a longshot

I remember reading a dining report, and thinking I need to go to that restaurant. However I can't now find the thread and where I noted it down.

Someone went to a waterside restaurant on 4th July (I don't remember which year). The food and restaurant were quite simple in style, but they loved it and it had good reviews. I remember reading the person said their son made friends with some locals, and maybe tried some watersports. However that's all I can remember, and I can't find it now.

Can anyone help and point me in the direction of the report/restaurant name?
