I always use a Travel Counsellor, they will often price match and will follow your requests exactly. We never book a package as such, just state dates, hotels, preferred flights and they get back to you with a price.
You still get the benefits of booking through Disney for example: DDP, gift credits, memory maker etc
Have always found them competitive and your individual Counsellor is lovely, responsive and will always be available to help.

We used attraction tickets direct for next April’s holiday as they were by far the cheapest out of all of our quotes

Disney direct
VH and haggle/price match
Attraction tickets direct
My Magic Holiday
Kenwood travel
Have all been competitive when I’ve priced up. It’s easier to compare if you have a good idea what you are looking for first then ask for the same package from each.

Hi all - thank you for your advice..

After haggling between companies mentioned I got a fab deal with Ocean Florida.

Depart 19th May 19 - Man to Orl. direct with Virgin, return is via JFK but very short stopover. 2 weeks at Disney Coronado Springs with upgrade to Disney Dining Plan, $100 dollar card and Disney park tickets for just over £5800 for 4 (3 adults and a child).

Also get a few other extras thrown in so very happy with price... 😁

What extras are they throwing in? Lots of TAs trumpet EMH, early FP etc as "extras" when anyone who books through Disney or stays onsite can get them

We booked everything via Virgin in late March for next April. It worked out cheaper than booking DIY but pricing the same holiday up today with Virgin is £4,500 dearer. I feel like I got quite a good price.

Just shop around & see what is best for you.
