Is there any advantage to buying tickets early?

Just that really, we go to Universal mid July do the price of tickets go up during the year? Is there any reason why I should get tickets now rather than say end May?

To be honest they could go up before May. I might be wrong but I think they follow Disney [I think they put their prices up around February] but I might be wrong on both counts, maybe someone can confirm or correct me.

As lyn1 has indicated, prices do go up - when and how much is anyone's guess. Looking back at price rises, they seem to be February, April or October.

Another thing to consider is the exchange rate - this could alter the price (up or down).

Although there is an offer on APs at the moment, I would think it unlikely that there will be any special offers on tickets from Universal at the moment. Maybe nearer the opening dates of Galaxy's Edge?

Personally, I would buy now, purely to avoid any price rise by Universal. Not much help, soŕry.

In my experience (which is not that much I admit), prices have only ever gone up. I purchased my 2019 tickets back in April for £219, they’re now around £270.

You can always secure by deposit only rather than paying in full. They do only really ever go up.

We bought our Universal tickets last year for this August. Three park two week tickets £222 each.

We put a deposit on our tickets with a guaranteed price thru Attraction Tickets Direct late last year with the balance to be paid 10 weeks before we go. They always go up, never down.
