You can only book it for lunch or breakfast on the qsdp. Dinner is a full ddp credit. It will need booking early so if you are at 180 days, you need to book it asap. There is no characters at lunch or breakfast but the food is really nice, we enjoyed the pork and the beef baguette when we visited for lunch.

Quick question, all my children are >10 when we go,
With the alcoholic drink available on their dining package, will I be able to use that and just buy a non alcoholic drink for them?

I don’t think anyone knows for sure yet as it’s a new addition for 2018. There’s a theory that no, you won’t, as they’re under 21 so not legally able to drink.

As Sha9 says, I think ID would be needed to prove age of anyone using credits for alcohol.

I'm going to go beyond theory, but based on how strict US liquor licensing is, and say there'll be absolutely no way they'll allow this. The meal (including drink) is technically being served to a minor, even if they're not drinking it themselves.

You could potentially (but again theoretically) cheat the system at QS and order all with alcohol for "adults back at your table" but I have a feeling they'll require a valid ID per drink.

As I mentioned earlier, at Universal, all adults had to be present at point of ordering so the server could see that everyone was over 21. I would imagine Disney will do the same, and check ID if there is anyone looking under 30 or so.

I missed your earlier post - I agree they'll more than likely implement a similar system. I won't even be surprised if they bring in a third tier of credits so only those registered to over 21s have alcohol entitlements.

I did initially think it would be difficult for Disney to implement as all meal credits are on the same account. So 22 qs and 22 ts meals for myself and 18 year old DD for 11 nights, it would be impossible to know how many could have an alcoholic drink or not.

But I'm sure there will be some sort of system put in to ensure only 50% of our entitlements could include alcohol. Although I would not want alcohol with every meal anyway but I just wondered how it will all work 😀
