I agree.. if everything goes to plan.

But what happens if it doesn’t?

Plus they aren’t connecting flights. The OP is flying to Manchester with flybe. If it’s delayed theyll miss their virgin flight and then be stuck having to fork out for new flights and claiming it back off travel insurance.

I thought, at Man, you're bussed between T1 and T2 when on a connecting flight, can anybody confirm?

Lauren, admittedly we're on site the night afore, we bag drop/collect boarding cards about 75 mins afore push back, as the glut of pax have gone thro we transit a quiet security, grab a Boots meal deal and stroll to the boarding gate. As long as your FlyMayBe is on time (first flight of the day usually is) you've plenty of time, even if you walk between terminals. Your luggage will be interlined from Aberdeen, you'll collect at MCO. I think you'll be fine, but if you're still concerned ask about flying down the day afore and overnight at Man Airport.

Have a smashing holiday.

Hi RAC, unless I've misread it's a through booking so the airline(s) are responsible for placing Lauren/family on another flight to Fl, be it later in the day, if VA have an afternoon Man to MCO, or the following day. Theynmaynalso provide overnight accommodation, circumstances dependant. As it's FlyMayBe's first flight out of Aberdeen it should be smooth

Maybe a bit late for panto, but "oh yes they are!"

The OP is flying to Manchester with flybe.

The flybe who are codeshare partners with Virgin?

Unless the OP has bought two different flights (they don't say so) it is connecting, so baggage will be checked through and Flybe/Virgin would be responsible for any delays.

manchesterairport/h...ked-questions/

Seems like you might be able to get a bus, especially if it’s ticketed through and you have already been issued a boarding pass

We have had to change our flights as was originally flying Aberdeen to Frankfurt and Frankfurt to Orlando with Lufthansa. They are no longer running the Aberdeen - Frankfurt leg so we have paid £60 and now going Aberdeen to Manchester with flybe then out to Orlando with Virgin Atlantic.

Our flight times going out are leave Aberdeen 06.40 arrive Manchester at 08.00 then our flight out to Orlando leaves 10.30. Has anyone does this and is there enough time to not rush too much? Get through security again etc?

Thanks!

Lauren
Do you land and leave from the same Terminal at Manchester ?
If your bags are checked and transferred from plane to plane if landing and leaving same terminal you will have time to shop.

If your planes are landing and departing at different Terminals you should still be fine but get your route planned to move from Terminal to Terminal.

We generally stay at the Radisson hotel at Manchester and if our flight has been 10.15 we have left the hotel at 8.00 checked in through security done duty free shopping and then gone for a drink, and still had time to waste

Definitely too late for panto! 😂

Good to know about the codeshare. At least Virgin will be able to sort them out👍

If needed that is. I’m sure it will all be ok.

Oh no it isn't (oh yes it is)... he's behind you (that'll be Punch, 'you're a naughty, naughty, naughty boy)

I agree, if all runs to time they'll be dandy, plus the bonus of transportation between terminals

Thank you for all the replies! I never considered asking them re flying down the night before! Im aware flybe and virgin code share so not our issue if any delays need put on later flight (just hoping this doesnt happen!) All booked through charter travel and not separate! Will enquire re night flight on 15th!

Manchester flight is first out of aberdeen that day and luggage checked all the way through and boarding passes issued at aberdeen for both legs to my knowledge.
