We have used the one in Gatwick twice and highly recommend it.

We are flying with Thomson this year so will miss the V-room

Is there anything to do for a 6 year old? She was quite happy playing on the little soft play last year (Manchester) and breakfast was only £30 so I'm not sure if it would be worth the extra.

Much preferred the V-room to most of the other lounges we have used (all in Manchester), which seem to be a very mixed bag. One of them ran out of nuts once, which really seems odd!

Used the Manchester one previously and got a discount rate which ended up with us paying something like £10pp, if we had paid full price we would have been very disappointed.

Very low quality food, but plenty of it... I'd have prefer a McDonald's breakfast it was that bad.

I suppose we got our monies worth of hot drinks though.

Another Vote for the V room. It made for a really chilled start to our holiday. And I also agree that by the time you’ve paid out for food & drinks at the airport it works out a similar price to the V room.

Love the less hassled feel about the V room. For us it’s a relaxing start to holiday. When you’ve spent thousands on a holiday, a few quid each is nothing.
We usually find a spot, enjoy breakfast at a leisurely pace, then take it in turns to go back ‘into the madness’ of the departure lounge to have some time each looking around/buying in shops whilst the other looks old after the bags and DDs ( not really needed now older) Then back for another coffee, few games of table football or whatever is on offer and then before you know it your being called for boarding. Must admit only ever been to Gatwick south, so not sure what the new V room at North will be like. Will find out in August

Have always previously used the V Room at Manchester but giving it a miss this time as we’ve found that as we will already have had breakfast (we stay overnight at the Airport) and a few cups of coffee all we’re really paying for is a seat.

If you usually have something to eat at the airport prior to your flight I would certainly book it.

Isn’t it a good job we are all different ? I absolutely love the hustle and bustle of the airport but hubby hates it !
We have brekie and than find a quiet spot near the window for him and son to sit whilst daughter and I go and shop !
Have only done the V room once and hated it, even hubby thought it was worse than been downstairs!

I’m shocked reading that people pay £100 in the airport for breakfast! What are you all eating champagne and caviar? Quite a few people have said they spend this amount hence the v-room is a bargain 😳😳
