3 Mobile feel at home question (sorry!)

I am planning to use this when we go to Florida in July/August (we are away for 14 days)

Looking at this link am I right in thinking if I want unlimited data I have to go for the £35 add on?

I'm not sure how much of an issue this will be given the availability of free Wi-fi in the parks and in our villa.

I have got a 3 SIM card and unlocked my Vodafone contract mobile (and know this works) so that part of it is covered off. I just want to understand the add on bit

Thank you

BB

I dont hink you would need unlimited data at all. I have 8gb and even here I only use about 3 and that includes streaming music in my car when driving. 2gb should be absolutely fine. As you say, everywhere has wifi anyway.

Thank you both-I'm new to this 3 PAYG stuff so can you confirm which one of the add ons below will do me or do I need a special one - not listed - for feel at home?

I had 5gb last week in LA, and we were away for 9 days. Wifi in California is very limited, so I was using data a lot more in the parks than I would have in Florida, and I had more than enough, I didn't even use 2gb.

If you are getting a 3 sim, just remember to activate it by making a call in the Uk before you go, if you don't do this, then it won't work abroad.

Just a thought. Would it be cheaper to just get a 1 month contract and cancel it after? They do a 1 month rolling sim only on the Advanced with 4gb for £18.

I would say the £20 sim from 3 will be more than enough. That’s the one we get each and even my 16 year old son (whose phone is never out of his hand) couldn’t get close to using the allowance and that was on a 3 week trip.

ETA the All-in-one £20 from your screenshot is the one we buy.

I bought the £20 version last year.

I actually used the data instead of wifi a lot of the times in the park as it was a bit faster/more reliable. You can't pick up wifi in some of the indoor queues.

At the end of the 2 weeks we had 10.7 left out of 12GB.

I would go for one of the lower options next time.
