Your costs look similar to ours, we’re going 24 August to 6 September and here is what ours looks like if you want to compare:
2 adults, 2 children age 11 and 8 at point of travel Flights - not yet booked -have budgeted £2400 direct - 10 nights (24 Aug- 3 Sep) @Disney Contemporary resort garden wing with free DDP, tickets and $300 gift card, booked with ATD - £5266. £100 deposit paid, £5166 left to pay - 3 nights (3-6 Sep) Portofino Bay club level booked with Travel Republic - £1033 (seen it cheaper with Virgin so still contemplating cancelling this and booking with Virgin). £10 deposit, £1023 left to pay - 14 Day Universal tickets, booked with theme park tickets direct -£881; £40 deposit, £841 left to pay. Total so far: £7,180 I’m hoping to add Discovery Cove tickets if there are any decent Black Friday offers this year and car hire for 8 nights once we’ve booked our flights. Edited at 01:49 PM. |

Yes very much like for like. We have been looking at adding the contemporary tower theme park view 3 nights at the end, undecided yet.

That would be awesome if you could, go for it! We would have loved theme park view but our budget couldn’t stretch that far. Maybe next time.
Also super jealous of all you that that can go for more than 2 weeks; my hubby can’t take more than 14 days annual leave at anyone time from work 🙁 |

I had to get permission for the leave so it's not always a given, my wife works in school so she is fine.
Budget is the thing that is holding us back from booking the extra nights, we are going to New York this August so it's all a cost thing at present. The Contemporary and beach was my first choice but my wife had final say (as you do). |

Ha! It was the other way around here; I was quite keen on the Beach Club but hubby said he preferred the look of the Contemporary so he ‘got his way’. Not that it’s much of a win, I would have been happy with either. Plus he said he will pay for Discovery Cove if I can find a good deal to compensate.
