My mum just went to Poco Poco in Bridgend. It’s a new tapas bar that has had good reviews.
Sadly the town has gone downhill a lot since I lived there many years ago. Good places to eat were usually further afield, there are a couple of decent places in Laleston I think.

My parents live in Llantwit Major, and our family go-to is the Victoria Inn in Sigingstone. Lovely place with friendly hosts and a good variety of food.

The sycamore tree in colwinston is nice if not too far off the junction for you? It's pub grub. But done well. Nice village too
The Golden mile too. Esp on nice sunny day. Fab views. Good Sunday lunch. Edited at 10:53 PM. |

Hello All, we ended up at the Prince of Wales Inn in Kenfig.
Very nice meal (can particularly recommend the caramel apple pie! ). Staff we really good and so friendly! They were telling us about the ghosts and strange happenings they have all seen there! It apparently one of the most haunted pubs in Wales! Thanks again to you all for the ideas. We meet up several times over a year so I think we will try some of the other suggestions! |
