Just booked Riga, must dos?

We’ve just booked to have an adult only trip to riga in December. We will only have 2 full days there and will be visiting the Christmas markets. We are thinking of one day round the old town/shops/markets and the other day thinking of getting a train to Sigulda to see some countryside and have a go on the bobsleigh.

Has anyone been and got anything we shouldn’t miss?
Any nice restaurants? (But not posh, DH is very much a burger and chips, chicken and chips person)
We are staying in the old town near to the train station so quite central.
