Loving reading everyone's comments on Dubai !
So what are the recommendations then ? So far I have thought of Dolphin swim , Dubai mall , the other mall of the Emirates. Kidzania looks cool for my son and segaworld. Not interested in going up tall buildings as done enough of that three times in NYC. Spoke to a fair few people who all said Atlantis is full of families and kids and is really busy. This totally suits our family. Can't sleep at night for dreaming about it. The last time I was this excited was planning wdw for our first visit .
If anyone has sky go to catch up and type in Dubai. I downloaded an episode of
50 ways to kill your Mammy and another real housewifes of Chelsea or something. Both episodes are at the Atlantis and the waterpark. Brill to show our kids x

This year we did a half day desert safari and a trip to Oman. Both were fabulous!

We really enjoyed our boat trip this year and Friday brunch!

My kids both loved Kidzania too.

I would still recommend the Burj Khalifa as its so much taller than the ones in New York. The lift is so fast its amazing.

Friday brunch is great and there are loads to chose from. Bubbalicious at The Westin is the best I've tried and the Friday duck brunch at Zheng He's is good (lot of duck though!). There is one at Atlantis (think its saffron?) which isn't bad but there are much better.
My kids went to the new IMG worlds of adventure a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. Most of it is indoors but is essential in July/Aug. Ferrari world is only around 45 minutes away In Abu Dhabi too. Taxis are mega cheap and plentiful so it's easy to get about. The Dubai fountains are worth a look and you can tie this in with Dubai Mall trip. Wouldn't bother with Burj khalifa - rip off!
Important thing to remember is that it's extremely hot in July and August and some outdoor activities and outdoor dining will be limited

What's Friday's brunch ?
Kidzania , put in kidzania Dubai on you tube, it's fab. Mini city for kids where they role play all sorts of 'jobs' and earn 'money'. My Wee boy will love it x

We used Uber to get around but the official marked cabs were very reasonable and a similar price.
We also enjoyed The Cheesecake Factory very much - it was exactly the same as the Mall at Millenia!
Some snack/drink things, particularly in the hotels, seemed very expensive so I would have made more use of my generous luggage allowance and taken more drinks/kid snacks. We had a Club level room like you but ours was more bar service for drinks and it would have been nice to have some more things for the actual room.
Emirates flights are amazing!
Bizarre question, so would it be ok to stock up and take snacks in your case ( you know how they ask in America) ... No issue in Dubai then ?
