Does this itinerary look okay?
Japan old hats, would love to know what you think!
Originally we'd planned to fly into and out of Tokyo, but seeing as we're going indirect anyway, I think we might fly into Osaka and start the trip there - not much in the cost or flight times. Not hugely fussed about spending lots of time in Osaka other than just getting a dose of the vibe and having a nice meal, so that will be our jetlag day. > means train journey Does this look okay? Day 1 - Land Osaka AM, sightseeing Day 2 - Osaka > Hiroshima/Miyajima Day 3 - Hiroshima > Himeji > Kyoto Day 4 - Kyoto Day 5 - Kyoto (my birthday!) Day 6 - Kyoto (Nara day trip) Day 7 - Kyoto > Tokyo Day 8 - Tokyo Day 9 - Tokyo Day 10 - Tokyo (Nikko day trip) Day 11 - Tokyo Day 12 - Tokyo > Disneyland Day 13 - Disneyland Day 14 - Disneysea Day 15 - Fly Tokyo - London Originally I was trying to fit other things in like Hakone and Kanazawa, but the more I read, the more I think I'd rather mainly be based in one place and day trip, to avoid lugging stuff around after the first couple of days. I also think we'll love Tokyo, as we're fans of cities, cocktails and fine dining, so I don't want to feel like we haven't done it justice. I'm also looking forward to some Japanese history so I hope 3 full days in Kyoto is enough for us to get a feel for this. BTW my boyfriend won't agree to any more than 2 days in Disney so am making do with arriving in the afternoon and having cocktails in Miracosta/Disneyland hotel, then a full day in each park! Any thoughts much appreciated! |

I would have no problem with that at all !
All I would say is that Osaka is really good and try and stay awake dotonbri at night so maybe a nap in the afternoon Plus Osaka castle is worth a trip too Other than that I would have no issue following that plan’

Thanks so much I also posted on Reddit and they all said it looks okay too.
Am considering splashing out on the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel to get the Happy 15 benefits so we can make the most of our two Disney days! |

We stayed in the Disneyland Hotel in May and can highly recommend it. It's not cheap but it's absolutely stunning.
