When I used to recruit junior staff for the bank where I worked, youngsters who’d worked at McD were usually very good at presenting themselves, able to talk about such as team work, attention to detail, customer consideration etc. Apparently McD provide good induction training and on-going monitoring.

I don’t know if this is still the case, but if so then it’s valuable experience for future careers.

I certainly hope so. My daughter is painfully shy but I am sure this job will help her confidence.

My DD started when she was 16 and is still there at 20. She works weekends but gets a few week day shifts when shes off uni. She was really shy when she started and its really helped her confidence. Made loads of friends aswell. I think its a good place to have your first job.
