HOTHS Trick or treating
Hi
Just wondering, after reading a post on a cruise group, if people knock on cabins to trick or treat other guests? I really wasn’t planning for this, hopefully there’s a do not disturb sign we can hang 🤣 |

Our cruise Facebook group has organised a trick or treating group where we will go to each other’s cabins. Only those who have signed up will get knocked on.

It's definitely not the norm and not something organised by DCL. We were on HOTHS cruise a few weeks ago and the trick or treating was manic to say the least. Just 30 mins (3 night cruise) and so many people crammed in to do it. We didn't take part as it didn't appeal to be crushed like that!
Be aware that it's not like MNSSHP with lots of stations in a massive space. You can get lots of sweets if you can push through the crowds though. Joa

We were on the Halloween cruise last year. It was held on the pool deck and was an orderly queue round the deck for the trick or treat stations.
This year it was held inside and it was a rugby scrum. Daughters twin 20 month old were terrified and we left after 5 minutes. Didn’t see anyone trick or treating round cabins either time though. |

Have sailed with Celebrity at Halloween and no trick or treating but they did put on a first class display of pumpkins down the main stairs into the atrium and a ‘bloody’ headless figure you could stand against to take a photo. During the evening they had a large cake they cut up for the guests.

We have just got back from a HOTHS on the Disney Magic New York to Bermuda. Definately no knocking on stateroom doors just one hour of trick or treat stations around decks 3 and 4 before each dinner sitting.

Just back of a HOTHS and no one trick or treated my cabin no. I don't think this is something you need to worry about. The T&T events are at 4 something and then 7:30 (between the two dinners) so you probably wouldn't be in the room anyway if they did. On the Dream they had them on Deck 3-5 around the atrium

I think we're on the same cruise, we're also signed up for the door to door trick or treating!

We had trick and treating on the DVC Member cruise, it was only one day though at 3 or 3 tables around deck 3/4.
Loads of staterooms had their doors decorated - loads of the Fish Extenders were Halloween themed. Didn't see any door knocking, it would be quite weird! |
