Lounge at Manchester Airport

It’s not bookable for my dates yet, but I’ve been offered 20% discount by an agent who are apologising for an incident. I’m not sure if it’ll be worth it. Our flight will be at 9am, so just breakfast and at Birmingham, we all had breakfast (perhaps would have liked a little more and another drink or 2) we spent £30 for 3 of us. The lounge is likely to be double that.

Can anyone share their experiences of what food has been available (T2) so I can make a judgement about whether it may be of value to us, please?

They’ve not said which one, she mentioned Escape as an example

I think it was Escape we used a couple of weeks back and it was rubbish. Luckily it was included with TUI as I'd have been annoyed if I'd paid.

So many people get ‘free’ lounge access now that you will only get in if you prebook, which you have to pay for. It used to be worth having but all lounges have been full for our last 4 or more trips. We have reverted to Frankie & Benny’s

We still do F&B, just use the lounge after for somewhere vaguely comfy to sit.

We get the Escape+ lounge free with upper class but I can't say it's worth paying for really. Sure, there's breakfast and alcohol but it's really too early for booze IMHO and the breakfast is nowhere near as good as F&B or one of the other eateries in the terminal.

It's quiet, it has that going for it, but I don't really rate any of the T2 lounges tbh
