How much would you expect for a flight from Manchester to New York in the middle of August ! Virgin at the moment is Ł2800 for 2 adults and 2 children for 2 weeks direct ... I’m holding out for less but don’t know if that is too optimistic!

I don't know if it is optimistic but capacity on this route has dropped since the demise of Thomas Cook so prices may be at a premium at the moment.

Just checked & last year we paid Ł1544 for 3 adults & 1 teen, this was indirect from Manchester via Heathrow going out, but direct home.
