Shopping bags on return flight?!
Not coming home just yet but DD has bought an Anerican Girl and I'm pondering how best to get the thing home!
Has anyone ever just carried it on the plane in the box & bag? She'd rather keep it boxed to get it home but it'll take up a lot of space in the case...

My DD has bought one of the massive size plushes home every trip for a decade. She just looks cute and carries them with confidence onto the flight! Started at age 5 but still got past every official age 14 so... Good luck!

DD carried her doll on to the plane, out of the box. We had put the box in a case and the doll in hand luggage, but DD was playing with it while waiting to board and so just carried her on.
Other passengers were carrying all sorts of things, including huge cuddly toys.

I did last May, My friends dd really wanted a baby alive doll that you couldn't get over here. I kept the doll in the box in a large Kipling paper bag and used it as my second hand luggage on BA.

We flew today and my husband bought a huge limited star wars picture. We just carried it onto the plane along with a cabin case each. No one cared.
