Tin opened -forgot to post before we went

I'm not disciplined enough to do that - I start a tin then keep dipping into it. DGD's do though and have been collecting for 12 month. I think DD might now be regretting telling them she'd double whatever was in their jars

That's why I bought one I needed a tin opener for, I'm terrible at saving!
It worked so well, I need another tin to start again.

Going to change it all up and maybe use for some euros for dlp in October- or just keep for Christmas

I did that too, had a box for all 1-5p plus any of the new shiny coins with a crest on. Three times I changed it up and it totalled about £125 which I put the notes in the £1 tin

Brilliant! I've just started one and, because I know it'll fizzle out if I do it, put our 7 year old in charge of finding all the £1 and £2 coins he can. He's a real terrier and won't be deterred, so here's hoping for a good total.
