4 days in and currently feeling like it’s going to be a long 10 months! Happy with how discreet they are, don’t think I really believed they would be to be honest. Anyway, anyone else thinking of taking the plunge or going through treatment? Would be great to get some support.

I started in September and have 40 trays in total. Got the attachments on after my first two trays and change every 10 days with visits to the orthodontist every 60 days.
The first few days after getting the attachments on, the trays were a bit awkward to get in and out but you soon get the knack of it.
I’m already seeing great results and very happy with progress so far.
I don’t have to have the filing done until I’m on my 30th tray - on tray 18 at the moment.
I am very careful not to drink anything other than water with them in and keep them clean by brushing with a soft toothbrush with a little toothpaste. My trays haven’t discoloured at all.
I’m just about half way through and would recommend Invisalign to anyone.
You will be amazed at how quickly you start seeing results.

I am very careful not to drink anything other than water with them in and keep them clean by brushing with a soft toothbrush with a little toothpaste. My trays haven’t discoloured at all and don’t get smelly, though I’ve read online that this does happen to some people however one of the assistants on the orthodontist that I attend reckons it is down to what environment exists naturally in your mouth as they see all sorts of stains on trays even from people who are careful with them like me.
However, despite being really careful, my attachments have discoloured but my dental hygienist basically sandblasted them a few weeks ago and they are looking much better now. This staining wasn’t visible to other people- only me in my makeup mirror with the trays out
If I have any rough bits on any of the trays, I use a nail file to smooth them down.

Thanks for replying! I will also get the attachments on after my first two trays, I’ll also have the filing done then. Dreading that bit to be honest! Today has been much better and I’m definitely getting more used to them. Suffered with a really dry mouth too but that seems slightly better today. I’ve never drank so much water! I’ve got 20 trays in total and estimated time is 7 months but if I need a revision I’ll be looking at more like 10. Hopefully it will pass quickly. Glad to hear you can see the improvement, I can’t wait to get to that stage.
