Upgrading Disney resort mug

We have been reading a bit about upgrading the Disney resort mugs when on site.
Is there a list of which resorts do what mugs ie we read that the monorail loop resorts do StarWars mugs.

And is it ok to hold on to my default mug then upgrade at a different resort to the one we're staying at for a particular mug? Or do you not get the default mug if upgrading

From what I understand is that only the monorail resorts have the monorail mug. And the Star wars ones are a bit of a hit and miss.
So we are going on a mug hunt the first (few) days.

They had Star Wars ones at AKL last week. I think if they haven�t got what you want at your resort you just have to wait to redeem you mug credit when you find what you want.
