Cali Grill brunch ADR - what to do?

It’s ADR day today, so the first restaurant we tried for was Cali Grill brunch on 23rd August. There was nothing for all 4 of us to eat together, but we’ve booked a table for 2 at 10:20am and another table for 2 at 10:25am.

I called to ask if they could link the bookings to try to get us seated at tables close to each other, and they’ve added a note to our reservations. Has anyone had any experience of doing this and if it works out?

Now we have three options:

Try again for 30th August

That’s our last full day, and we have other plans, so I’d rather not move everything around. We already knew it was a risk trying to get 23rd August at 186 days out, but it just fits in much better with our plans.

Keep checking the website for a table for 4 to become available on 23rd August

This would be best, but I’m guessing it simply won’t happen.

Keep our ADRs for two separate tables for 2 and hope we get seated near to each other

I don’t need to decide until 22nd February when 30th August becomes available to book, so what would you do? I’ll be keeping an eye on the website in the meantime, just in case we get lucky!

We did this with a table for Bon Voyage breakfast 2 bookings 5 min apart - one table 6 one for 1- arrived and told them we were 7- no issues at all- hopefully you will be fine
I did keep trying to adjust the booking but never had any luck.
Why not book the 30th just in case and decide later

I was just thinking exactly that! At least it will give us a while longer to decide what’s best.
