Mobile Upset- how would they find my address?

When I moved house in February I didn’t want anything to do with my mother.

She made a scene on my old street so I never gave her my address.

Today my youngest gets a birthday card with a letter in it for me from my mother.

Says she doesn’t know what she did wrong even though we have had the same conversation for years.

I did not want her to have my address. I don’t want her to know where we live and now she does and this has really upset me.

The only person who has my address is my paternal gran, the same one I share with one sister. She has said she wouldn’t give that information to anyone else. It is possible that my sister could have looked in her address book.

I don’t want her knowing where I lived. I don’t want to have to worry that she will turn up at the door.

My address isn’t in the phone book or anything, i thought I had been careful.

How the hell has she got my address

Is the relationship irretrievably broken down? You always come over as someone in need of a Mum, x

Is she trying to patch things up? Don't get anxious it's not worth it!

Write her a letter, put down all the things you think are wrong between you and explain why you don’t want to see her. If it is written down she may take it onboard.

Sites like tracegenie use the current electoral roll and you can pay £3.50 for a day’s access to their site. It might have been something like that?

Or it could be, like you said earlier, your sister did a bit of snooping.

If you’re sure you don’t want to patch things up, why not just mark it as not known at this address and pop it back in the post?
