GF Room at SL

I am considering 3 nights mid week, mid November this year. I like the sound of the club rooms at Sequoia Lodge.

The deal I can get at the moment is free half board so my question is, would you bother with a GF Room with free half board being on offer? The main thing I can see is with half board you get a breakfast voucher but you also get breakfast as a club room perk.

Perks include: Breakfast in separate dining room, separate check in desks and also one fast pass per person per day if you book GF room. Also the afternoon snacks.

I’ve not had a dining plan but have stayed in a GF room. My understanding is the dining plan voucher only entitles you to a pretty basic breakfast: croissant, orange juice, bread roll whereas in the GF club dime ng room you get a great selection: cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, pastries, bread, cheeses, cold meats, cooked items including sausages, bacon, baked beans, eggs, pancakes, toast and limitless hot and cold drinks.

I don’t know which level of dining plan you have or whether that gives you the option of better breakfasts, but we loved our GF breakfasts.

If you like cake, the afternoon snacks are pretty good too.

Others who know more about dining plans will be able to clarify.

The one FP a day is also a brilliant perk of GF

No, all dining plans now include full buffet breakfast in your hotel. As you are in SL you get Plus level half board so that will include most of the Disney owned restaurants in the parks, Village and hotels, for lunch or dinner.

I would still book the room. We love the lounge for our breakfast.

We were in the same predicament but decided to book it. We've stayed in a GF room before and having the smaller lounge was better for us. It was also nice to pop back in the afternoon for a swim and then a few treats in the Lounge before heading back to the Parks for the late afternoon/evening.
