Last time we were there (2018) we upgraded to TS and really enjoyed the experience, however when we got home we realised that so much park time had been lost even more so when on the odd occasion we had two in one day. and then we worked out the tips ? but seriously it is very much personal preference and next year we have decided on QS

We prefer QS as we like not having structure around meal times and eating when we’re hungry rather than around an ADR slot. Much as we’re both people who like to plan, having to book ADRs takes away some of the spontaneity of the holiday for us. If you want some TS meals, then you could pay OOP for those. TS meals will also take more time, and it will depend on how you want to spend your holiday.

I have never eaten in a QS location that has floated my boat as much as a variety of TS ...such as
Cali Grill Sanna Boma Ohana Citricos Narcoosee Roaring Fork Artist Pallet Cape May Cafe Flying Fish Teppan Edo Brown Derby Skipper Canteen To name a few

We really enjoyed all the restaurants and almost all the food at both QS and TS.
We didn't like some of the popular restaurants on here like Garden Grill and Tuskers (very average food) and loved places like Tokyo Dining Yak and Yeti. I would recommend you do research and don't just go with the what everyone else does. Not everyone likes the same stuff. I wouldn't consider doing just QS, the whole holiday experience would be downgraded for us to do so. Plus we enjoy the enforced break of sitting down for TS meals. We are doing deluxe dining next year and can't wait |

We’ve upgraded to ts for this trip as we always like one sit down meal a day and it allows for a break in air conditioning at probably the hottest time of the day. This is our fifth trip though so we really do know what we want to fit into our day, food being one of the most important! If you’re really not bothered and more focused on doing the rides etc then do qs

I would not go just on the QSDP. After a long day in the parks (and quick service for lunch), I like to relax and take my time with a nice table service in the evening. In order to avoid table service being too restrictive, only book an ADR for 1 or 2 of your must-do restaurants. The rest of the time, just see on your MDE what's available on the day. The vast majority of restaurants will have availability, outside of BOG, CRT, CG, Ohana... I'd recommend going to resort restaurants in the evenings, better food and more availability.

Personally I can think of little worse than only QS everyday for a 2 week holiday. DH and I have always been the kind to spend less on hotels so we can enjoy a nicer evening meal. I do find Disney TS quite overpriced though.
I second your recommendation for the resort restaurants. Some of the non signatures there are much better than those in the parks

Personally I think TS during the day makes the most sense.
Parks get very hot and crowded from 12 onwards. Perfect time to step out and have a meal. Plus if you have little ones its an enforced break at a key time. |

My opinion is, if this is your first time, go for TS. You might feel like you are missing out otherwise.
You might then decide (like we have) that future trips will be QSDP only (until we have kids, then we might change our minds). I am glad we did DDP as had some amazing dinners / experiences but I want to try the flexibility of QSDP next time. Plus not having to pay tips will be great
