Annual Pass advice required
I'm hoping someone on here can give me some advice. I am off to DLP in November for a week so I decided that an annual pass made sense. I know that the cheapest of the passes has the restriction on it that you can't use it for 2 days after you buy it so I decided to buy it online rather than wait until I get there. Anyway - thats where it goes wrong - rather than go down the route of getting the pass sent to me I opted to collect it when I get there. Now I find that it seems that the 2 day rule applies from when the pass is issued not when its bought - so if i collect it when i get to DLP I will be ticketless for 2 days - not what I want. So, my options - throw myself on the mercy of DLP before I go, explain the situation and tell tehm i want to go for the delivery option, or can I upgrade to the next level of pass whis is about €50 more, has a lot less restricted dates and would let me buy an annual photopass (this would give me an excuse to go back more often)
What do you think?

there is no getting around the 2 non-contractual days of the cheapest annual pass, unless, as you've discovered, you get it sent to you through the post. So really your only option, if you're waiting until you get to DLP to get your pass, is to upgrade to the next tier pass, which you can do at any time, including when you first collect it. Just explain what you want to do at the AP office inside the park.

I'm not 100% but I think you'd still have the blackout day issue if you had it delivered? I always assumed so at least.

Thanks for the quick response - so guess its the upgrade and more visits to DLP then! I had a basic pass before but last time I had it posted to me and that meant there was no problem. My mistake has cost me €50 and who knows how much on those additional trips in the next 12 months.

if you have time to get it posted to you, I'd say its definitely worth a phone call to the AP guest services to see if they will send it to you instead of you collecting it.

Hi. I'm sure if you call in advance they will allow you to upgrade. When I had issues with our annual pass purchase a month or so ago, I spoke to a brilliant cast member called Yoann who has sorted things out with difficulty.

Sorry for being a bit slow on the uptake. DD and I are going for 4 days in Nov. Tickets are £162 each so I am thinking I should get a annual passes. However I thought both the two lowest passes had 2-days no entry after you buy but I am right in thinking now that the second level ticket doesn't ? Also if I order the cheapest ticket by post then it would be activated straight away so this wouldn't apply anyway? Thanks
