We wouldn’t pay for a water view on the basis that some garden views are really lovely. IMHO the offer of views are better at YC than BC, but everyone is different. I did prefer the rooms too! If you do decide to stay at YC make sure you request a room with a bath ... not all of them have baths since the refurb.
