Tonga Toast... Whats the difference?

Trying to decide if we should book a TS breakfast at Kona Cafe (for Tonga Toast) but I've just seen that they also serve this at Captain Cooks for half the price!

Has anyone done both? I can't imagine there being any difference in that particular meal as surely they both come from the same kitchen? Don't really see the point in booking a TS if we're getting the exact same meal, not to mention if we end up getting the DDP, that won't be good value for money anyway.

The toast is just the same at both places. We stayed at the poly in 2016 and ate at both. Only difference was a strawberry compote that you got at one (I think it was maybe kinda?) and not at the other

You get the strawberry compote at Kona Cafe but not at Captain Cook's - the toast is equally as delicious though

Thanks for the replies. I think the lack of strawberry compote at Capt. Cooks is definitely not a deal breaker!

Do Capt Cooks no ADR needed. Just make your way to the Poly whenever you want.
Much easier. Tonga toast definitely something you have to eat once.
