August 2021 - how much are people paying for flights
Hi Guys,
As the title suggests, I am looking at putting my holiday back to next year... At the moment flying out on August 22nd for 2 weeks is coming in at £1000 per person, fly drive, direct flights with Tui. The most we have ever paid for direct flights was £800...and this year our fly drive albeit indirect was £550 per person 🙈. So I guess I'm wondering with the current climate and me being a planner, is £1000 reasonable, it also includes the car insurance (fully inclusive). Thankyou |

I paid €1080 each to fly direct from Dublin to Orlando with Aer Lingus for July/august this year!
The flights won't be released until about 11 months out-so September. If you get a good offer before then for flydrive/package, then go for it. Otherwise, I'd wait and see how it pans out.

Wait until the flights are actually released. Until then you’ll be paying a premium.

Direct flights in August from Manchester are often around 1k I’m afraid and have been for years. There are deals to be had sometimes but not many for August direct flights into MCO.

We’re restricted to school holidays and have been in August a couple of times. We fly indirect from Manchester to keep costs down. But for next year I think all bets are off and none of us will be able to predict prices.

with Airlines having issued vouchers etc they pretty much know they have people over a barrel in respect to prices they want to charge, as they know full well you will have to pay what they want to be able to get use out of the voucher.
I would not be surprised if school holiday prices will be way more than previous years and getting cheap prices for the holidays a thing of the past hopefully i am wrong as i am more than likely having to take a voucher for this year and am also tied to school holidays. Also looking at the amount of people on here and facebook groups that have taken vouchers and are looking to book again for next year the demand is going to be huge an i fear the supply very short.

Flights from Bristol direct to Sanford in August are £959 and have been around that figure for a number of years.

We too are planning to go in August next year. Need to be back home by the 26th for GCSE results which is a bummer because flight prices drop significantly mid August. We have budgeted £4000 for flights 2 adults, 13yr old and 15yr old. Not sure if that will be possible. If not we will leave it till 2022 but our heart is set on next year as we have a lots of occasions to celebrate in July/August
