CFB on tour, Vancouver, Waikiki, North Shore, Seattle. All in a single thread March 2023.

I finally caught up, fantastic TR as always CFB and some stunning photos, thank you!

Are the buses in Oahu really that bad? I have made a note of the 42 bus to Pearl Harbour and also 20 I think gets around Waikiki.

I must look into the Go Oahu card, it seems to cover a lot. Waimea Falls looks beautiful and we will visit PCC, we might do the Luau there.

Dole whip is definitely on my must try list, I've never had one before. I'm sure we will have to try a shave ice and a poke bowl also.

Mandie's birthday dinner looked delicious, a lovely way to celebrate.

Interesting reading your comments on Seattle, we did think about including it in our plans as we've never been but after a small bit of research we decided it wasn't for us and chose to return to places we've previously visited. I'm glad you enjoyed the boeing museum though.

Thankyou for the very kind words.

The buses were not in fact at all bad. They got us around on the first phase of the Oahu part of the vacation and were a considered choice, given the traffic congestion in Honolulu, the cost of parking etc.
It is worth pointing out that the biggest conurbation in the whole of Cornwall is only 25,000 and that I am therefore never comfortable with driving in big Cities.

The only bus that was an issue was the one coming back from the Luau and with the benefit of hindsight, I would never visit that toilet of an area again in any case!

Re Seattle, some seem to like it. It simply is not for me.. other than the Boeing bit 😃.
