Checking magic bands on your room tv?

Just a quick question my dad keeps asking me to to see if you can check the balance of your account (ie. how much you have spent that day on your magic band)on your room tv as you would on a cruise, or do you have to go to reception to do this?
Any help would be much appreciated thanks

Never noticed that you can do it on the TV, have always just gone to reception.

You need to go to reception. Disney aren't that advanced yet.

Personally I'm surprised there isn't a website or something that you can check on. Perhaps they think its better that you don't know until the end!

I'm surprised they don't do this. We could do this at Universal this year. My girls stayed later in the park and bought food. When they came back they were shocked that I knew exactly where they had eaten!

Disney's computer systems are poor at the best of times so I don't see any bill checking on TVs for the foreseeable future.

When you use a dining credit with your band they can tell you how many credits are left. As for charging to your room I just kept receipts, and asked part way through our stay for a statement, and then at the end.

I always ask for a print out of my folio every few days to see where I am with room charges, its surprising how quick they add up!
