If flying with Virgin like others have said we usually head to Disney springs to drop the bags off. After that depends on who we have also been travelling with, when I have gone with little ones last day we have gone to waterparks - as they can burn off energy but also have a snooze on sunbeds if they get a bit sleepy - the changing rooms have showers and enough room to get changed before heading off to airport, have also just done disney springs and went to spitsville bowling which was good fun. Have gone to the Florida Mall to the Crayola experiance which is also really good fun for all and again keeps kids busy also can have a look around at shops etc, Gatorland is another favourite. If its just me and husband we will just go to our favourite park and hopefully of got 1 FP for fav ride of holiday and then just have a wander around - animal kingdom is a good one if you have small kids as there is the dino play area which keeps them busy. Our other favourite thing is to resort hop - take the monorail to the disney hotels - lots of things going on at hotels and always fun to look around them - could grab lunch or an ice cream at one of them. Although not on monorail loop AoA is meant to be great for photos, or AKL might see some animals.

We are usually onsite so slightly different for you. We pack and take our luggage to bell services as early as possible then we go to a park. Stay at the park as long as possible then we collect our luggage and go to the airport, changes and get refreshed there whilst we wait for our flight. We like to enjoy our last day in the parks 😂

Most of the time we've been offsite on our final day. We will usually get up a bit later, have a late breakfast, pack our bags, perhaps have a look at shops on International Drive picking up some last minute souvenirs and some snacks for the airport, wait in the hotel reception and then get picked up to go to the airport for our flight. We usually get picked up just after midday for a 4pm-ish flight home so we only have the morning to do anything. I don't think we've ever visited a park on our travel home day because we've never had the time (also we don't drive so getting to and from a park isn't convenient).

We stay offsite in a villa and as we always get a late flight back around 7.30ish we keep the villa for another day so no need to rush out.

We usually head to a park first thing leave around lunchtime, grab something light for lunch and head back to the villa for a swim and chill until about 3pm then think about getting ready to get off to the airport at around 3.30pm and we usually have a good meal at the airport whilst waiting around.

We had to leave one year by 10am and was a wasted day for us as was just waiting around for the evening flight.

Late check out, sorting stuff in the villa and cases, we normally block the day we leave to make it easier for ourselves.

Head to Springs, bit of a wander, last minute shopping, Florida mall for more shopping and lunch. Or sweet tomatoes/olive garden for late lunch.

By then it's almost time to head to the airport and sit in the lounge for a while.

I have a question about last days. We're staying for 2 weeks, and have a 14-day ticket, but MDE says that ticket starts the day we arrive. Does this mean we wouldn't be able to go to a park on our last day as technically it would be day 15? Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this.

I have not done this myself, but technically it is still valid on day 15.
