Any idea what month it will start sounds weird but I'm hoping to avoid it

I think it might be all year but the actual anniversary is the 1st October.

I’m only guessing but it’s a big deal so I think they’ll milk it as long as possible.

I wouldn’t avoid... it won’t be any more busy than any other year. There is a real tendency around Disney fan base to over blow things. People said the opening of Galaxy edge would be Armageddon. Far from it...

I'm inclined to think the celebrations will start on 1st October 2021 then last until the end of 2022. I can't see them starting before the actual anniversary date but until Disney make an announcement, who knows.

There are a lot of people who are 50 the same year ( me being one of them ) many with kids leaving or left home so some disposable income . I know loads of people who are planing 2021 and if numbers are down in July/Aug in 2020 again you can bet your bottom dollar Disney will start it all just to drag the crowds in . Loads of things are planned for 2021 to drag the crowds in . GE is manic at the moment and would have been even worse had they opened it all in one go . We are just glad we saw it while it was manageable with rise being open.

GE isn’t mind at all... other than the morning rush for boarding passes it’s fine...

As I said in my post, there tends to be an over exaggeration quite often on here and you provided a good example
