You probably cannot cancel for a refund, many flights are non refundable. Even if you did book expensive refundable flights, you possibly would have to cancel the entire booking for a refund and then rebook the ones that do want to go.
There is no single definitive answer to this, you need to read the terms and conditions of your specific booking, or call BA about it. |

If BA say you can’t cancel one ticket then that’s your answer.
I know you say that price was very good when booked, and is now more expensive, but is the new total price for less people still cheaper than the original total price You could wait until the BA sale unless you get into a %age rise for cancellation. |
