Mobile VH - New Refund Message

This wasn’t there the other day but I just noticed that a new message has appeared when logging in to manage my booking. I mean I already have a countdown to when I’m expected to receive it but could help those waiting too.

Earliest and 120 days really don’t seem to go together in my opinion they might want to look at the message.

How are they getting away with taking 120 days to refund people? I thought it was supposed to be 14 days... these companies seem to be doing whatever they like. Theyre probably putting that message up to stop people contacting them to chase it up. I know they have alot of money to pay out but its crazy to think they can hold the amounts of money people have paid out for that long.

They were funding running today’s business on tomorrow’s money. Now they are keeping millions for months- interest free. If you sued them you could claim special account interest on the sum since the date it should have been paid back.

I’ve said it before- if I took my clients money to keep my business afloat and refused to pay it back for months, I’d be shut down by my regulator.

I hope Virgin survive, but I think the industry should be much more heavily regulated to protect client’s money and ensure its ringfenced until payments are required to fulfill that holiday.

Why are people still waiting when you have legal avenues available to you to get a refund within a week? I certainly would not be waiting longer than 2 weeks.I
According to a recent MoneySavingExpert survey only 4% of Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holiday customers have got a refund since this all started. They are officially as bad as Ryanair..

It’s absolutely shocking and everywhere I read they’re rated so bad now. There’s a ‘Virgin no refund support group’ on Facebook with over 7,300 members in. There’s people in here still waiting for their refunds from March, which is totally unacceptable.

Quite a few people have issued court summons, which means Virgin will need to pay the legal fees and interest. My refund is only my deposit but I’d be doing exactly the same if it was the huge amounts others are waiting for!

Thank you, I’ve just rechecked mine and it says my refund will be August 2020. I was due to fly on 7 May.

I cancelled my flight on June 11th and Virgin offered me a full refund. The said I’d get an email about it, which I’ve never had. If I go to my bookings on their website there’s nothing there anymore. How do I chase them up or try to speed up the refund process? I don’t want to wait until October to get my money back! Thanks 😊
