haha... Love that book. Am currently watching the mini series with Gary Sinese - recorded it the other day on Sky. DD18 asked if it was a documentary on Covid when she came in half way through the first episode.

They are making a new one.

As to recommendations, I have just re-read the Osterman Weekend by Robert Ludlum (another one with a decent film adaptation) - really engrossing read.

Another Karin Slaughter fan here, I started out just reading the Grant County series, but her stand alone book Pretty Girls is amazing too!

Also l've Jeffery Deaver books, in particular the Lincoln Rhyme series, then the Kathryn Dance series.

I also like the Shari Lapena books. The couple we know, An unwanted guest etc. I've read her books in 1 day

The secret barrister is worth a read. I got it after jury service and really loved it.

Anything by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. Shadow of the Wind and Angel’s Game are fab and I’m just reading The Labyrinth of Spirits. They are standalone books, but are also interlinked 💕

C J Sansom, his Shardlake Tudor historical period books about a lawyer who gets caught up in murder and mystery. Can be a bit gruesome but great stories to get your teeth into.

The Winter Ghosts and The Taxidermists Daughter by Kate Mosse are great for this time of year! Very atmospheric.
I loved the Shardlake books and I love a good thriller. Elly Griffiths and Ann Cleeves are great writers as well.

The last couple of books I’ve read and enjoyed are The Tattooist of Auschwitz and Beneath a Scarlet Sky.
Both true stories and set during WW2.
